Rafa Matoses aka Raszia was born in late summer of 1980 in the city of Valencia, but spent most of his childhood in Alicante. From a young age he was attracted by the music during the eighties sounded in clubs in Valencia. The influences of his uncles and spending time in the Swedish zone made it very early to know the groups that were stuck in those years, The Smiths, Simple Minds, Depeche Mode, The Cult, New Order, Front 242, The Cure, The Stone Roses, Then Jerico, Nitzer Ebb, Information Society, The Clash, Ramones … In the late nineties learned to punch thanks to his good friend Sergio Pastor and became interested in the history of the Valencian night and investigates the whole evolution of music in the clubs of the city. This fact also makes research on the history of electronics, making him faithful follower of Detroit techno and all techno in general. In 2003, with Sergio Casas, began to air a radio program dedicated to the two genres which at that time were not very popular in the city as were trance and progressive house. The program runs until the end of 2005 and he made numerous interviews and reports on everything related to electronics. In 2006, Robert, one of the new officers of the club Sunday La SoirĂ©e, offered to participate in the first edition of the festival [dark & rare], with which it sought to recover for a few hours the musical spirit rom eclectic Valencia eighties. The success of the party made Raszia to become part of of residents next to Robert, Miss Yuls and Fabel. Currently Raszia is totally focused on his work as a producer. In addition Raszia released his tracks on labels like Main Concept, Tekx Record USA, UK and Crossworld Beat to Beat. In the coming months posted on Glider Records, Music and Mona Redlight Records among others. The current style of Raszia could be defined as minimalist techno, serious, solid and hypnotic, blending perfectly with the sound of Detroit techno, Berlin and Birmingham, and always spiced with all electronics classics with respect.
